Process outline for new client engagements
-
Understanding the Client's Needs
Before starting any consulting engagement, it's crucial to understand the client's needs, objectives, and constraints. This may involve a series of meetings, calls, or emails where the client explains their situation, goals, and any specific requirements they might have.
Cost: $0
Duration: ~20 minute phone call
-
Prepare Client Proposal
Once the needs have been identified, Personal Procurement Experts prepares a proposal. This document typically includes a summary of the client's needs, a tentative timeline for the project, and outlines the available fee models.
Cost: $250 (invoiced within 1 week of call)
Duration: ~1 hour video call (Google Meet or Zoom)
-
Sign Client Agreement
Once you’ve decided to move forward with the support of Personal Procurement Experts you’ll e-sign the client agreement and fund the deposit or retainer stated within. We always require funds in advance of work being started to minimize potential delays to projects (such as those that require legal review, additional insurance coverage, postage for documents that must be wet-signed, overnighted, sent via certified mail, etc).
Cost: Average Retainer = $10,000 USD (or) Average Deposit = $20,000
-
Procuring Services
The next step is to procure the necessary services to carry out the project. This could include identifying subcontractors or vendors, negotiating contracts with them, and arranging for their services.
-
Drafting the Statement of Work (SOW)
The SOW is a key document in any consulting engagement. It outlines the specific tasks, deliverables, and timeline for the project. It also specifies the roles and responsibilities of the supplier and the client.
-
SOW Review and Approval
Once the SOW is drafted, it's presented to the client for their review and approval. The client may suggest changes or ask for clarifications. Once all parties agree on the SOW, it's signed and the project can begin.
